Elise's Bike Accident

I got a phone call at work from J telling me to come pick them up, that Elise was hurt and they were on their bikes. So I ran out of the store and picked them up on the side of the road and went to the doctor.
She had a concussion so the doctor did some x-rays (to make sure her cheeks and nose weren't broke...which they are not). After the doctor we went to the dentist. Both her front adult teeth were knocked out.
She has an appt. on Thurs. to really get looked at (when the swelling goes down). It looks like they will just put fillings in if there isn't nerve damage.
She is doing well now...she is on codine ;)

Bummer! I went over the handle bars of my scooter (the push kind, not motorized) when I was about her age. No concussion, just a huge scrape on my cheek and a bump on my lower lip. I had 3 root canals and 2 crowns put on my front teeth. It sure makes you toughen up quickly as a young lady! I have no qualms at all about going to dentists after all of that. :) I hope she is starting to feel better.

Thanks Amy - This is Elise's 2nd time knocking her front teeth out...I thought braces were the only things that we would have to pay for for our kids :)!
She goes into the dentist today, she's too young for caps they said so they just will fill if no nerve damage is done.
