In 20 years this has never happened...until last night...
I completely sewed through my finger! I always wondered how this could happen & now I know. I had the presser foot up and was folding a corner right under the needle and my foot went down on the pedal. The needle went right through the side of my nail and completely out the other side. It was the largest size needle so it was pretty thick and didn't snap. It was so quick that I didn't really "feel" it, now my finger just aches.

ekk, I have always had this fear. My great aunt did it...but it was on an old machine...I didn't know it could happen on a modern one. I thought I was safe? Guess not. Glad to hear that it didn't hurt though. Take care!
