Peony Painting

I was talking to my friend about painting & how I didn't have anything in mind but wanted to start another one. She mentioned that she wanted a close up painting of a red flower to put in her living room - and that her b-day was June 4th (hint hint). So I finished this one for her, it's a 20 x 20 square canvas and my first flower. With this one I really tried to speed up my painting and not get lost in the details.
