Meeting up with my college friend Joy

Joy is a friend from college, she saw I was doing a show in Arizona (close by where she lived) so she invited us to go swimming and have dinner with her family (Sun. night). Then we were off to Hector & Erica's - where I am now... this will be the first night to sleep in a house... yippee! Actually I can't complain, the kids have been incredible on the trip (having the camper shell was the best decision) they have loved playing back there!

The Arizona Show

This show was held at Cardinal stadium. I met up Rachel Lesiw (a college friend) & her cousin & we worked it together. It was not a very good show for me (but Rachel did her best ever!). We did make an awesome contact with the boutique chain Kid to Kid. The buyer for all the Arizona stores placed an order for my hairbands (so technically I'm doing wholesale again, but hairbands take about 2 min. to make, so I agreed to it).
The show hired some models (& Madison and Elise) to model some of my clothes in a fashion show, their hair was done by Libby Lu. Rachel took better pics. of the fashion show so when I get them I'll post them.








Elise was so stoked to see Darth Vader, he is her favorite character. She went up to him and said "Listen" and she imitated his breathing, he gave her a thumbs up.

Children's Science Museum

This bike was on a tightrope overlooking the 2nd floor, the girls wanted him to ride it across.
This "living room" is an elevator, the girls wanted to ride this over and over.


There was a craft room where you could make things from recycled things. Jason decided that was a good time to take a nap (that's who's next to me). He slept for about an hour there!

Our 18 hour drive - & what we did...

Well, we eventually left Siloam Springs at noon... stopped at Sonic 3 hrs. later, then drove to the New Mexico border to sleep. The next day we drove to Albuquerque and spent the day at a children's science discovery museum. Then drove to Arizona & stayed at another rest stop. Eventually we made it to the show at noon, but couldn't set up till 2 so we hung out at McDonalds b/c it was so hot.

Ok so we really are leaving now, the battery was dead in the truck but J jumped it.

We are gone...

WE are leaving right this minute - last thing is to shut the computer off. We have to run to Walmart and then we head out on the open road. We are trying to make it to New Mexico today, but we don't have any real set plans (just have to be in AZ by Fri. morning).
We won't have internet either till next week.

Our Cowgirls

Aunt Robbie (colleague prof. at JBU) & Uncle Breck (our pastor) came over and gave our girls the essentials for CA - cowgirl hats! Now they are ready for our trip!!!

Siloam Springs Rodeo

I went to my first rodeo last night, although during the events our friends & J were telling me this was a pretty lame one. The big towns usually have the exciting ones.


Call me a Californian b/c I have never seen this for fun:
- a man jump from a horse onto a steers back and wrestle him to the ground
- crownings of jr. princess, princess and rodeo queens (taking about an hour)
- I've seen people rope calfs but not jump off their horse and tie 3 legs up










This is where they let all the kids into riding arena and then release calves with ribbons on their tails. They must corner the calf and get the ribbon and take it to the judge... yet another thing I have never seen!

Our Monkey girl is Back from camp!

We headed up to War Eagle this morning to pick up Madison from camp. She had so much fun, she talked non stop the whole way home about everything she did! She bought 2 camera's at the store there (and lost one) so we are getting one developed now. So more pics. will follow (Hopefully :)).


Her counselors awarded her with the F.I.T Award (First is Third). I wasn't sure what the award was for but they gave us the paper on it... "each set of counselors selects one camper from her cabin as the FIT winner who displayed on a daily basis God first, others second, and themselves third." Great job Madison!

Vacation Bible School - Surfin' through the Scriptures....

This week we had VBS, it was in the evenings. We all met at 5:30 and they had dinner for us & the kids. J worked in the game area (he was only there a few times since he wasn't feeling to well), and I worked in the snack area. Elise had a great time and was so excited to go since Madison was at camp. She constantly asked all day "How long till my beach party?"
