Jason's Finals

Jason must be a great prof., he doesn't give finals, he goes to breakfast with his class. This time the restaurant was closed (on Mon.) so the students suggested having brunch over our house. They spent the 2 hrs. eating and discussing their insights from the class.

Today was the last day at Dogwood, it was freezing... I don't think we will get used to this ever so quickly changing weather! We did have a good day (not as good as yesterday but way better then Fri.). J & I are really pleased with the sales we made!

Day 2 at the Festival...

Day 2 went really well! Completely different then yesterday, it was nice and sunny and the customers came out! We are really pleased with the sales we got and made some great contacts too. Our friend Jamie came and worked with us for a few hours. Then our pastor's wife came by in the morning and took the kids around the fair and then home to watch a movie (so that was a good break for both parties :)). Tomorrow is the last day (and the shortest). Here are some more pics...

We had our first day at the Dogwood Festival today. It was really slow and rainy - we did sell a few dresses but are hoping tomorrow will be better (supposed to be sunny). Anyway, we are next to a chalk drawer and he was so bored he asked if he could draw Madison for free. So we said sure :), of course now we have to get one of Elise...(smart guy).

Dinosaur Bones in Arkansas!!!

Ok- So they are Cow bones, but the girls were all excited when they were digging across the street & found them (where they are building the 2 homes). They came running over to us yelling that they had found dinosaur bones! J told them this used to be a pasture so they probably came from a cow. Even so they were excited to keep them, I reckon we might mount them on the wall!

Elise's School Program

Tonight was Elise's school program. She did a great job singing, on Monday she takes a field trip to the Kindergarten school. Her Kindergarten class will be all day (just like Madison's), she is excited bc she won't have to take a nap anymore.

For the Birds...

Over the past month we have watched this robin try to build a nest on our back porch column. We have a perfect view while we sit at our kitchen table, this poor bird would get so close and then winds would come and knock it down. Finally 2 days of work & it was finished and the mama came, she has been sitting up there for about a week now. Today J pulled out the ladder to see if there were eggs up there... and there were!

Nothing really new...

It's been pretty quiet over here in AR, we've been having alot of rain... there was a clear day when it hit the high 70's and I got to take some pics. of Elise for an Ebay auction. I'll post a pic. of my favorite pose of her.
Oh yeah, the man came today to paint our door (after 8 months)! It's raining and dark now so I will show it to ya'll tomorrow :)

Swim Banquet

Tonight was Madison's swim banquet, we had dinner and then awards... Madison won the Time Keeper award (I guess she keeps her coach on schedule during practice)!

Our weekend in Oklahoma...

Madison had school off Fri. so we decided to head down to OK for Isabelle's 1st b-day party. Jason has a student in one of his classes who is also from the same town, he was preaching at his home church that weekend so he rode down w/us.

Our first night in the camper... Freezing!!! J finally came to bed at 3am and finally we could generate heat. It was also a bit cramped for us (we are just used to a King bed now!). The next night we switched it up, Madison slept w/dad and I slept down below w/Elise which worked better. We also moved the truck to where we could plug it in and use the heater! Much better!!!
