10 years baby!

Yep. We made it to 10!

It was a good day, we finished the art fair display, I finished my Spring line to be shipped to boutiques, and Lost is on again...

My DH made me my favorite dinner and the kids kept clanging on their cups for us to kiss throughout it (they haven't been to many weddings have they?).

Snow fall finally hit

They have been saying for over a week now that a storm was coming, it finally hit. Madison got the day off school. They made snowmen by themselves, but now it's really coming down and dad might help make a better one.

Art Fair set up

Today was the deadline for the Dogwood festival show so we spent alot of the day setting up my booth in the living room. You have to be juried into the shows and have pics. of what you sell and your set up. No one around here sells Ezups till March so I had to order one online (it just showed up yesterday), we got our grids up pretty easily and then hung all the clothes up. There are still some things I would like to add to jazz it up but I think this should do for now.

volleyball fundraiser

The JBU girls volleyball team has a fundraiser where they play 24 games for the day against different teams (who pay them to play). J was asked to be on the faculty team, here is a group shot that Shannon (who J has his arm around) sent to us. Shannon is from our church in CA (her parents were our home group leaders & then we all ended up going to JBU).
Elise and I were sick during this time so we didn't get to see him play :( but they lost 3 out of 4.

Madison's pictures

I got Madison's 1st grade pics. today... unfortunately as soon as I walked in the door I got a call from the school nurse saying she had a 105 fever.
This week she also got her 1st semester grades... all A's, and she's reading at the 2nd grade level (which she loves demonstrating for us on a nightly basis) :). Also, her teacher chose 3 kids from her class to attend a leadership camp for a week in the summer (it's all free b/c of her grades and behavior).
She's a great kid & I guess this turned into a post bragging on her :) - Since you are reading this blog now... We LOVE you MATKINS!

Swim Team

Madison started on the city team today (she has been begging us to go for months now).
It was her first practice and she had to wear her cap... I just had to take a picture of her (it brought back memories of me wearing them in high school)! She kept saying this is weird, I said yeah but it will make you swim faster.
She is one of the younger ones on the team and her teacher said that she has to learn how to breath better to keep up her endurance but she has an excellent long arm stroke.

Tornado - 10 min. away

So this evening J invited some guys over to watch the football game... and we had 3 storms move through which put us on a tornado watch till tom. morning. Our satellite just went out so the last we heard is a tornado 10 min. away... and the game is no more. You can hear the sirens in the background, the hail was huge!

This is our 1st real tornado watch... I'm sure we will get used to it!

Rec. center in Springdale

Jason found this recreation center online (it's in Springdale about 30 min. away). It's all free but you have to get tickets in advance. He called up and the lady working said it was sold out tonight... but J talked her into giving us tickets for the evening (smoozer). So we were expecting just a pool but it was a fun little water park, there was also an ice skating ring, basketball courts, movies being played... pretty cool find!

We didn't skate tonight but this is what it looks like in there (another day perhaps!)

Elise swimming under the lane lines.

J and Madison racing backstroke.

Elise didn't make it home...

Madison sews...

Madison has been wanting to sew some pj's for her American Girl Doll, so yesterday we were in town and picked up a pattern. First thing this morning she wanted to make it. She cut out the pattern, cut the fabric and then I showed her how to do the rest (with some help on the hard parts). She did a great job!

My parents are leaving with 2 things...

A time share in Branson and a puppy named Baybe...

We spent 4 days in Branson Missouri, we were not impressed with the town but the time share deal was too good to pass up. Although they have no intentions of going back, there are great hotels, cruises and international trips that are awesome (J is excited b/c this may mean that we get to go France perhaps this summer or next).
Also, my mom has been writing a lady who breeds Yorkies in Oklahoma, so Baylee (the mom) had it's pups and only 1 was a girl so my mom decided to get that one. They drove to meet her Mon. The girls have been chasing it around the floor & wanting to hold it...
