Madison wanted to be a diner girl and Elise wanted to be Sleeping Beauty.



We started at JBU at 4-5:30, the students hand out candy from their dorm rooms, we went with some other friends too.








All the girls had a pink and black theme going on...


At the bottom of the steps to where the Bible dept. is.




We then drove to a neighborhood with homes close together (we are not used to walking long distances in between houses ). And then over to the church where they go to AWANA. There was a fall festival going on, and I won a huge fall wreath at a raffle (it will not make up for the Ipod though Amanda ;)).

Pumpkin Carving Night

We started our evening outside, but it was too cold for me... so we moved inside for the drawing and cutting out phase. I drew the faces and J cut Madison's out & I did Elise's. Toasted the seeds and drank hot chocolate and lit them up outside... the girls were so impressed with our cutting abilities ;).

Our Nature Hike in OK

This afternoon Jason drove us over to OK. There was a scenic waterfall that people had been telling us to go hike to, so we saw it.

J got the new Steven Curtis Chapman CD

And of course we have been listening to it ever since. He had to dance with his girls to the Cinderella song :)

Our last night in CA - spent in the ER of course!

We were over our friends Jeremy and Amanda and around 8pm Madison came running into us saying Elise is leaking blood all over her face. She was trying to copy the other Alysse and climb down the top bunk bed, but the ceiling fan thwarted her efforts-and it won. We rushed over to the closest ER and they said it was too deep & would have to do stitches. Elise did a great job, she was a brave girl. We got out of there at 1pm, drove home and went to bed.
We are packing now and leave at 11am.

Rachel's Band Playing

Rachel is the drummer for the band Legal Parking... she was playing on Fri. night at the Coffee Klatch so I got to go see her play.

Fishing with Papa

Today Madison and Papa headed up at 9 am to Green Valley lake (about 35 min. up into the mountains). They only caught one fish and were about to leave at 2 when a ranger came by and gave them some night crawlers. After that they caught 4 more right away. Madison caught 3 herself... the most and the biggest she says.




We are eating them for dinner.

Madison's B-day

Madison wanted a Costco cake... we will be eating it for the rest of the week.

We asked her if she wanted a pie instead, she said "No, because then my daddy would eat it all" :) Smart move with the chocolate monkeygirl, daddy didn't touch it!

Mon. - LA textile show

*Sigh* - The city where there is an abundance of cheap fabric... good to be back!



It just happened that the textile show was the same time we were down here... this was my 3rd time going and probably my last. I did order fabrics for a Spring line to sell directly from my website. I also got to shop downtown and stock up on thread and other notions (since cone thread is not found in AR).

Sunday up to Santa Clarita

We drove up to Santa Clarita and met gma. & gpa Thompson at Rattlers. My parents came and Paulo too. Afterwards we went over their house.
